Maqasid Da'wah: Journal of Islamic Studies, Public Ethics and Social Transformation
Maqasid Da'wah: Journal of Islamic Studies, Public Ethics and Social Transformation is a peer-reviewed academic journal dedicated to advancing scholarly discourse in Islamic Studies, Da'wah Studies, Islamic communication, public ethics, and social transformation. The journal serves as an interdisciplinary platform for researchers, academics, practitioners, and policy-oriented scholars to examine the dynamic relationship between Islamic knowledge, religious communication, ethical public life, and the transformation of Muslim societies in local, national, and global contexts. The journal is published four times a year, in March, June, September, and December.
The journal is rooted in the intellectual tradition of maqasid, which emphasizes the higher objectives, ethical purposes, and public benefits of Islamic teachings. The journal welcomes empirical research, conceptual analysis, textual and discourse studies, historical inquiry, policy analysis, media analysis, community-based research, and interdisciplinary studies related to Islamic communication and broadcasting, da'wah methodology, Islamic counseling and guidance, community development, da'wah management, public relations, religious moderation, interfaith and intercultural communication, Islamic media studies, digital da'wah, social welfare, civil society, public ethics, and the role of Islamic values in addressing contemporary social challenges. By promoting rigorous, ethical, and contextually grounded scholarship, the journal aims to become a distinctive academic forum for developing critical, constructive, and transformative perspectives on Islam, da'wah, communication, and society.
